Developing co-operation between Finland and Sweden in all areas of society, the Hanaholmen Culture and Congress Center is located in a brutalist, rugged, and partly protected 1970s building. A major renovation took place at the cultural center: the hotel rooms, congress center, and office spaces were updated to meet modern needs while retaining the unique spirit of the 70s.

Also, a new floor was added for office use. Nature and art are emphasized in addition to Finnish and Swedish furniture choices. Bespoke pieces of furniture were designed for the premises, such as a set of lamps made of hand-blown glass. Situated by the sea and surrounded by tall pine trees, the cultural center is a place for collaboration, art, culture – and a truly good night’s sleep.
