Created as a meeting place for startups and freelancers, Microsoft Flux was a pilot project that brought together and facilitated companies and players in various industries. A functional, activity-based working environment with a variety of facilities, equipment, and events – not to mention coffee! Flux was in active use and brought the desired bustle to the local startup culture, meeting many needs. Situated in an Art Nouveau stone house on Korkeavuorenkatu in Helsinki, the modern and colorful interior of Flux served as an inviting contrast to the building’s rugged architectural features. The facilities allowed relaxed and varied work alone and in larger groups. In addition to plenty of open space, a series of adaptive rooms were designed, so that each new idea and the spark of success would find its place.
