Rome

Fragments of Finland are strongly present in the Embassy of Finland in Rome. Natural hues of blues and greens paired with wooden surfaces create a soothing backdrop for carefully curated Finnish furniture and art. Along with the light and airy interiors, the functionality of the spaces reflects Finnish core values: clarity, openness, and peace.

In addition to interior design, KOKO3 served as the principal designer and architect in this project. Efficiency and functionality were factors that needed to be evaluated during the renovation. Thanks to added spatial flexibility, hosting events and gatherings works smoothly.

The internal offices were designed to serve as multifunctional workspaces. The working cafe is the heart of the office, where employees can gather over a cup of coffee – just like Finns do.

KOKO3 was responsible for the principle architecture, architectural design and interior architecture of the Embassy of Finland in Rome.

KOKO3 on Suomen Ulkoministeriön sopimuskumppani ja kehittää Suomen edustustiloja maamme rajojen ulkopuolella. Suomen Rooman Edustuston laaja saneeraushanke, jossa toimimme arkkitehti- ja sisustusarkkitehtina syvensi entisestään meidän ja Ulkoministeriön välistä yhteistyötä. Rooman lisäksi olemme suunnitelleet Ulkoministeriön alaisia tiloja aina Keski-Aasista, Afrikasta, Etelä-Amerikasta ja Euroopaan.
