Rome’s Villa Lante to undergo complete renovation – KOKO3 responsible for furnishing

The ever-enchanting Villa Lante in Rome will close its doors for the next two years to undergo a complete renovation. The Republic of Finland acquired the 16th-century Renaissance villa in 1950. The purchase was funded by Amos Andersson, the founder of the Institutum Romanum Finlandiae – The Finnish Institute in Rome.

The principal designer of the renovation is Arkkitehtitoimisto ALA. KOKO3 joins the project as the interior designer, responsible for furnishing the updated and carefully repaired interior spaces and gardens. Villa Lante’s building history survey was conducted by Arkkitehtitoimisto Livady and is the first Finnish-language survey of the villa’s architecture and alterations over the centuries.
