Bistro Bruk is a new and anticipated neighborhood eatery that recently opened its doors in Arabia’s former porcelain factory. The restaurant, fittingly named after Rut Bryk, the “grand lady” of Finnish ceramics, was one of our speediest design projects.

When Jerry & co contacted us, they had a month left before the grand opening. Thanks to our skilled designers and the experienced restauranteurs, the ideas quickly turned into plans and executed with staggering speed. Sometimes things just happen – when you make them happen.

Like a local neighborhood favorite meeting spot, the cozy bistro aims to offer casual and relaxed experiences, from smooth jazz afternoons to Sunday brunches. The atmosphere feels like Paris – a space built on a mix & match principle, where vintage furniture and mismatched tableware blend effortlessly with new finds.

“Bistro Bryk´s space and the building itself are steeped in history. We wanted to preserve these visible layers of history in the space and build a relaxed, neighbourhood restaurant feel around them. In this, KOKO3’s vision provided just the right touch. The collaboration with KOKO3 was very pleasant and smooth. Although the timeframe for the design was very tight, the end result was exactly what we wanted.”
